Privacy for Dementia Residents created at Summerfield House in Halifax part of the Bond Care Group has over 107 dedicated rooms for residents, providing a comfortable and relaxing home which caters for older people and those living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, other mental health issues or the after-effects of a stroke.

Privacy for Dementia Residents – What was the Plan

Carl Stevenson Summerfield’s Manager asked to Find to help come up with a solution to create more privacy for the residents in their conservatory which overlooked residential properties.

Privacy for Dementia Residents – The Solution

Find worked closely with Carl to come up with a solution that not only provided privacy for the residents of the home, but also for the general public that could see clearly into the conservatory. A solution that also maintained lightning levels and produced a view that residents could sit back and enjoy.

Find’s window decal which took just 2 hours to apply has been used on all of the windows in the conservatory, providing a beautiful countryside view that can be seen from both the inside and outside.

The window decal is designed to last but can still be easily removed or replaced if required.

With many Care Home buildings being built in urban areas, a bespoke printed decal can create a view where there’s otherwise none to speak of and a more pleasant and comfortable environment for residents.
